As part of the "Chinese Bridge" high-level academic delegation to China, led by the Confucius Institute, Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, TUF, and Prof Dr Majid Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Information Technology visited the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), a top-tier Chinese institution renowned for its excellence in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
The visit focused on exploring strategic linkages in advanced technologies such as Machine Learning, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and Computer Vision. The delegation toured USTB’s state-of-the-art research labs and participated in a comprehensive presentation highlighting key research directions in Information and Communication Engineering and Computer Science, including optoelectronics, intelligent perception, and high-performance computing systems. Discussions centered on faculty and student exchange programs, joint research projects, co-supervised postgraduate research, and the organization of international conferences.
