The Department of Design and Interiors hosted an intensive Plaster of Paris (POP) sculpture workshop on December 11, 2024. Supervised by Ms. Nouma Irfan and Ms. Jaweria Shabbir, the event focused on subtractive carving techniques. Bachelor of Interior Design students explored three-dimensional creative expression and functional form development. The workshop challenged participants to research, brainstorm, and execute concepts inspired by architectural and natural elements. Students skillfully utilized carving tools and finishing techniques to manipulate material and texture. The designs emphasized creativity, balance, and meticulous attention to detail. This successful hands-on experience enhanced technical mastery of POP and deepened students’ understanding of structural integrity.
