World Nurses Day is celebrated internationally on 12th May each year to honor and appreciate the contributions of nurses to society. TUF acknowledged the incredible dedication, compassion, and expertise of nurses by honoring the chief guest, Ms Aqeela, Nursing Superintendent Allied Hospital, Faisalabad. The event entitled “Our Nurses Our Future: The Economic Power of Care” was organized by the School of Nursing, TUF to commemorate this day, for nursing students and professionals. This event aimed at raising awareness about the vital role nurses play in healthcare, and to acknowledge their dedication and commitment to patient care. The chief guest addressed the attendees that the dedication of nurses knows no bounds; they are the backbone of our healthcare system. Behind every successful recovery, there is a nurse's unwavering support and care. She emphasized that: "Nurses are the heartbeat of healthcare, and their compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment are the foundation of a resilient and effective healthcare system."
The event focused on highlighting the economic significance of nursing care and the crucial role nurses play in shaping the future of healthcare systems worldwide. Ms Aqeela, discussed the economic impact of nursing care on healthcare systems and society as a whole. The Interactive session provided practical insights and tools for nursing professionals to maximize the economic potential of nursing care delivery and management.
