The Department of English language and Literature organized an Interdepartmental Speech Contest as part of the Ashra Rehmat-ul-lil-Alamin (S.A.W) celebrations.
The contest was based on the highly relevant theme: “State’s Role in Promoting Positive Social Media Use: Inspired by the Holy Prophet’s Teachings”. The event aimed to encourage students to reflect on how the values exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) — truthfulness, kindness, responsibility, and community welfare — can guide the development of state policies for fostering ethical and constructive digital engagement.
A panel of esteemed judges, Prof Dr Nailah Riaz and Prof Dr Katsiaryna Hurbik from the Department of English, evaluated the participants and provided valuable insights based on their research, articulation, and moral reasoning.
The winners were announced as follows:
1st Place: Urooj Fatima
2nd Place: Aman Fatima
3rd Place: Munaza Mazhar
All participants received certificates of participation, while the top three winners were awarded trophies in recognition of their outstanding performances.
