Exploring Fitness and Wellness: Educational Visit to Al-Ahmad Gym

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, organized a visit for students to Al-Ahmad Gym, D-Ground, Faisalabad. Trainers at the gym provided hands-on demonstrations of various fitness equipment, including treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines, leg presses, elliptical trainers, cable crossovers, Smith machines, and free weights. Students actively participated in learning the correct techniques for using these machines effectively and safely.

This initiative, aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), aimed to promote awareness about fitness and its integration with a balanced diet for optimal health. The session emphasized the combined importance of physical activity and proper nutrition in achieving overall health. Trainers highlighted the role of exercise in enhancing cardiovascular health, strength, and flexibility, alongside the critical need for a balanced diet to support fitness goals.
