The University of Faisalabad places great value on the teachings of Islam, and strives to inculcate Islamic values in its students. Following its yearly tradition, a two-months Fehm-ul-Quran course was organized in Summer 2023, with the facilitation of Religious Society under the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Ms Humaira Khalil from the department was the course incharge, while the Chief Guest of this ceremony was Prof Dr Sadaf Zia, Head of Department of Physiology. The event was initiated with recitation of Naat and Darood-o-Salam.
Students from diverse backgrounds took part in the course which facilitated them with knowledge regarding different subjects such as Hadith, Fiqh, Quran, Medicinal practices in early Islamic era, Basic English and Computing.
Participants were awarded certificates on their successful course completion by Prof Dr Sadaf Zia, Ms Humaira Khalil and Ms Safia Jafar. Active engagement of all students in this course was highlighted by Dr Sadaf Zia who also appreciated them for their inquisitiveness and enthusiasm. The ceremony celebrated participants’ awareness of the essence and message of Quran and Islam as well as development of their skills.
