The University of Faisalabad offers 4-year Bachelor Degrees & 2-year Associate Degrees in Interior Design & Graphic Design, with an extensive program of collaborative & interdisciplinary fields focusing on people-centric design, socio-cultural contexts & global trends in field while exploring issues and constraints that affect sustainable approach in design. We encourage our students towards critical discourses, providing thoughtful, human-centric and holistic solutions to complex design problems and develop individual sensibilities while establishing an effective process of inquiry, reflection & invention. The department offers 2-year Master Degree in Interior Design as well fostering ingenious & innovative avenue for graduates to pursue their higher education.

The mission of the Department of Design & Interiors is to be one of the leaders in the community of Designers and artists who appreciate diversity and creative excellence, making lasting contributions to a global society through critical thinking, creativity and innovation and observe global trends in design and contemporary lifestyles while providing thoughtful, human-centric & environmentally conscious holistic solutions to complex design problems.

OBJECTIVE:

Create critical, speculative and reflective problem-solving designers with skills relevant for the advancement of the society as well as solving real-world problems.
Integrate ethics and sustainability into all aspects of the curriculum aligned with United Nations’ SGD Goals and promote awareness and solutions for social-cultural and environmental issues via sustainable & eco-friendly design practices.
Instill in the students, strong creative skills that produce non-conventional design solutions and offer curricula that includes global perspectives and address multicultural contemporary dynamics.
Promote interdisciplinary pedagogy in diverse domains art & design, including but not limited to architect & interior design, furniture, landscapes & lighting design, graphic design & visual communication, UI/UX design, motion graphics & animation etc.
Provide training in the latest digital tools and technologies essential for exceling in field of design and encourage proficiency in visual & digital communication via latest software.
