Established under the auspices of the Madinah Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to healthcare, education, and social welfare, TUF embarked on its journey of excellence with the establishment of the Saleem Campus, setting the foundation for quality medical and health sciences education.
As a constituent college of The University of Faisalabad, the University Medical & Dental College (UMDC) launched its flagship MBBS and BDS programs, marking a significant milestone in medical and dental education and offering students valuable clinical exposure and practical training opportunities.
Beginning its journey with a 250-bed capacity under the auspices of the Madinah Foundation, Madinah Teaching Hospital (MTH) has grown into a modern 750-bed tertiary care teaching hospital. As the teaching hospital of TUF, it provides students with extensive clinical exposure, research opportunities, and hands-on training while delivering comprehensive healthcare services to the community through advanced medical facilities and specialized departments.
The establishment of Amin Campus marked a major step in expanding TUF's academic and infrastructural footprint. Initially developed to meet the growing demand for quality engineering and technical education, the campus has since expanded to offer programs in medical sciences, law, and social sciences, supported by modern facilities, advanced laboratories, and a conducive learning environment.
The first convocation of The University of Faisalabad was held in 2007, celebrating the graduation of 225 students. The event marked the beginning of TUF's proud legacy of recognizing academic excellence and producing skilled professionals for society.
Mrs Saira Afzal Tarar, Federal Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, inaugurated the Department of Physical Therapy at MTH and appreciated its high standards of clinical services and training. Established with advanced infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities, the department provides an innovative learning environment integrating academic excellence, evidence-based practice, and hands-on clinical training.
The Second Convocation of The University of Faisalabad was held in 2009, where 644 students were awarded degrees in various disciplines. The occasion reflected the University's growing contribution to higher education and professional development.
TUF launched the Doctor of Optometry program with approval from the Allied Health Professional Council of Pakistan, the Department of Ophthalmology at MTH installed a state-of-the-art Excimer Laser system, enabling advanced laser vision correction procedures, including TransPRK, for safe and effective treatment of refractive errors.
TUF strengthened its commitment to healthcare education by launching the BS Nursing program and later introducing the Post-RN BS Nursing program. Supported by modern nursing skills laboratories and extensive clinical training and internship opportunities at Madinah Teaching Hospital, the programs prepare competent nursing professionals to meet the growing demands of the healthcare sector.
Celebrating academic excellence and achievement, the Third Convocation honored 1,009 graduates for the successful completion of their studies and their readiness to embark on professional careers.
TUF launched FM TUFIANS 96.6, an educational radio channel designed to promote learning, creativity, and student engagement. The platform provides students with opportunities to develop communication, broadcasting, and media production skills while serving as a voice for academic, cultural, and community-focused initiatives.
The Fourth Convocation marked another memorable milestone as 952 graduates were awarded degrees in recognition of their dedication, hard work, and academic accomplishments.
The Department of Radiology at Madinah Teaching Hospital was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, Governor of the Punjab. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the hospital's commitment to advancing diagnostic capabilities and healthcare services, commenced with traditional prayers for the facility's success and service to the community.
Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), officially inaugurated the new Multidisciplinary Dental Laboratory at Madinah Teaching Hospital (MTH) by unveiling the commemorative plaque. During his visit, he thoroughly inspected the state-of-the-art facility and expressed his deep delight and satisfaction at the high quality and functioning of the lab.
A total of 950 graduates received their degrees during the Fifth Convocation, reflecting continued growth and excellence across diverse academic disciplines.

The University established a modern Network Operation Center (NOC) to provide reliable IT infrastructure, featuring advanced computing labs, high-speed internet connectivity, secure networking, institutional email services, and dedicated bandwidth through the Pakistan Education & Research Network (PERN).
The Sixth Convocation celebrated the achievements of 1,409 graduates, highlighting the institution's expanding academic reach and contribution to professional education.
The Department of Optometry organized the First International Conference on "Myopia in Pakistan: Myopia – A Time Bomb", marking a significant milestone in raising awareness about the growing challenge of myopia in Pakistan.
The Department of Pharmacy organized the International Conference on Drug Delivery (ICDD) in 2019, highlighted advancements in pharmaceutical research and promoted collaboration in the field of drug development and therapeutics.
The Centre for Executive Learning (CEL) hosted the city’s first Director's Training Program. The student experience was further enhanced by opening a state-of-the-art Student-Teacher Centre (STC).
Bringing together graduates from both TUF and UMDC, the Seventh Convocation recognized the accomplishments of 1,743 students as they prepared to contribute to their respective professions and communities.

Department of Dermatology, in collaboration with ORIC, TUF organized first 1st International Conference on Dermal Sciences in The University of Faisalabad on November 20, 2021. The conference was on the theme of “Psychosocial Impact of Colorism” which was first ever of its kind in Pakistan.
The Eighth Convocation celebrated the academic accomplishments of 1,308 graduates from TUF and UMDC, marking another milestone in the journey of higher education and professional excellence.

ALPHA-TUF team comprising 21 members lead by Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman BOG, visited earthquake affected areas of Tukey. The team visited the affected areas of Adiyaman and Gozebasi districts and distributed food and other relief items of worth 110,000 USD.

“Innovative Lyallpur” was a flagship initiative by the Department of Computer Science, TUF aimed at fostering innovation and strengthening academia–industry linkage among emerging computer science talent. The event brought together students from leading national universities, showcasing 71 innovative projects focused on real-world problem solving. After a rigorous evaluation process, 16 projects advanced to the final round, with top positions awarded to outstanding innovations.

The 1st International Conference on Advanced STEAM Education (ICASE-2023), was a global forum for academic exchange and collaboration. Researchers and scholars shared cutting-edge ideas and emerging trends across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The event featured contributions from over 40 experts, highlighting innovations and future directions in STEAM fields.
TUF Forges Global Connections: Expanding International Linkages for Academic Excellence and Cultural Exchange TUF signs MOUs with 10 international renowned universities during TUF team visit of Turkiye during the 9th annual Eurasia Higher Education Summit- (EURIE) 2024 held in Istanbul in last week of February.
Strengthening industry–academia engagement, CareerLink24 organized with the collaboration of Placement Bureau. Over 2,100 students and graduates participated, while 75+ national and international companies offered job and internship opportunities. The event was attended by distinguished guests and university leadership, resulting in multiple successful placements.
Innovative Lyallpur 2.0 brought together talented IT students from across Pakistan, featuring 150 selected final-year projects out of 210 submissions. The event highlighted innovation, creativity, and technical excellence, offering a competitive platform with a grand cash prize of PKR 50,000.
2nd International Conference on STEAM Education (ICASE-2024), bringing together global experts to explore innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The event featured over 20 interdisciplinary sessions focused on emerging trends, research, and collaboration in STEAM education.
Skincare Expo 2024, organized by the Department of Dermatology and the Society for Skin Care, showcased student-led innovation in skincare and cosmetics. The event featured multiple student entrepreneurs and brands presenting products including skincare, cosmetics, and perfumes. Distinguished medical professionals attended and praised the quality and creativity of student-developed products.
Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging conducted an international Neurosonology workshop, bringing together leading experts and academic leadership. International guest speaker Prof Dr Med Fabienne Perren (University of Geneva) shared advanced theoretical and practical insights in neurosonology during the hands-on session.
TUF achieved notable global recognition in 2024, ranking 218th in the WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation) and placing within the 410–600 band in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
TUF conducted Career Link’25, an impactful career fair aimed at strengthening academia-industry linkages and providing students with networking and employment opportunities. More than 90 renowned national and international companies set up their stalls. Over 1,800 final-year and recently graduated students submitted their profiles at Career Link 25, gaining excellent opportunities for employment and internships.
ICASE-2025 brought together global scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders in a hybrid format. Centered on the theme “Connecting Technology, Arts and Social Science for Shaping the Future,” the conference highlighted interdisciplinary innovation and collaboration. The event attracted participants from over 15 countries and featured 60+ research papers from international contributors.
Building on the success of Innovative Lyallpur 1.0 (2023) and 2.0 (2024), TUF continues to lead as a hub for student innovation and technology-driven solutions. The Department of Computer Sciences, in collaboration with IEEE partners, hosted Innovative Lyallpur 3.0, featuring 250+ projects from 35+ universities across Pakistan.
The university expanded its global footprint to over 80+ International collaborations, signing landmark MoUs at GETEX Dubai, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
Nationally, Chairman BOG Mr Muhammad Haider Amin received the APSUP Academic Excellence Award, while Patron-in-Chief Mian Muhammad Hanif (SI) was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
