What are TUF Clubs and Societies?

TUF Clubs and Societies provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, build confidence, and participate in meaningful campus activities beyond the classroom.

These clubs and societies encourage students to take part in academic, cultural, creative, professional, social, sports, and community-based initiatives. Through active participation, students learn communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, event management, creativity, and responsibility.

The purpose of TUF Clubs and Societies is to support the overall development of students and help them become confident, active, and socially responsible individuals.

How to Become a Club or Society President?

TUF Clubs and Societies provide leadership opportunities for students who want to represent their club or society and contribute to campus life. Students can join a club or society according to their interests by completing the registration process.

After becoming registered members, students may participate in activities and leadership selection as per university policy.

To be eligible for club or society leadership, a student may be required to:

  • Be a registered member of the club or society
  • Have completed at least the first year of their degree program
  • Have sufficient remaining study duration at the university
  • Demonstrate active participation in club or society activities
  • Show leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Follow university rules, discipline, and club/society guidelines

Presidential Election Process

The relevant Student Affairs office will announce the club or society presidential election and share the role description, eligibility criteria, schedule, and application process.
Interested students may submit their nomination for the position of President by completing the required form within the announced deadline.
Candidates will send their nomination form and required details to the concerned university office through the official email or submission channel.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview to assess their leadership skills, participation record, communication ability, and suitability for the role.
After review and interviews, the final list of eligible candidates will be announced for the election process.
The university will officially announce the election date, voting method, campaign guidelines, and election rules for students.
Final candidates may run their campaign according to university guidelines, presenting their plans, goals, and vision for the club or society.
The concerned office will manage election arrangements, including voter lists, polling setup, supervision, and required documentation.
Eligible members of the club or society will cast their votes through the approved voting process.
Votes will be counted under the supervision of the relevant committee or university office to ensure transparency and fairness.
The successful candidate will be announced after vote counting and verification of results.
An official notification will be issued confirming the selected President and other office bearers for the defined term.
