Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir
Demonstrating its commitment to promoting awareness of issues of national and humanitarian importance, TUF Centre of Collective Activities, in collaboration with Character Building Society, Literary Society and Majlis-e-Adab Society, commemorated Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir by organizing a series of awareness activities, including a panel discussion titled "Kashmir Today: Rethinking Perspectives, Building Understanding," an interactive question-and-answer session, and a solidarity walk. The event brought together faculty members, students, and distinguished academicians to engage in a meaningful dialogue on the historical and contemporary realities of Kashmir.
At Saleem Wing, the panel featured Dr Naveed Anjum, Head of the Department of International Relations; Advocate Ms Shabnum Amanat, from the National Business School; and Dr Nabiha Hassan, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, UMDC. The speakers discussed various dimensions of the Kashmir issue, highlighting the importance of justice, peace, dialogue, and respect for human rights in Indian occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, at the Amin Wing, the panelists included Dr Riaz Majeed, Head, Department of Urdu, renowned writer, scholar, and poet; Mr Abdul Sattar Naeem, Director of the Iqbal Chair at Riphah International University; Mr Sharjeel Yousaf, PhD scholar, social media activist; Mr Farrukh Sheikh, Senior Broadcaster at Wave FM 96.6; Mr Hassan Javed, Advocate of the High Court; and Mr Hussain Farid, Lecturer, Department of English Language & Literature, writer and poet. Participants actively engaged with the panelists during the interactive question-and-answer session, exchanging views and gaining deeper insights into the significance of the day and the challenges facing the region. The program concluded with a solidarity walk to express support for the brethren of Indian occupied Kashmir and reaffirm TUF's commitment to peace, compassion, and human dignity.
