TUF Welcomed Postgraduate Students at Fall 2026 Orientation Ceremony

The University of Faisalabad welcomed its newly enrolled postgraduate students at the Postgraduate Orientation 2026 – Fall Session. The orientation marked the beginning of their postgraduate journey, offering valuable insights into the University’s academic structure, research environment, institutional policies, and professional expectations. The orientation session provided new students with essential guidance on academic expectations, research practices, university policies, institutional values, and the responsibilities associated with postgraduate education.

Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, TUF, addressed the newly enrolled students and welcomed them to the University. In his motivational address, he emphasized the importance of making the most of the postgraduate experience through academic commitment, research, discipline, ethical conduct, and continuous learning. He encouraged students to approach their postgraduate studies with a clear sense of purpose and responsibility, highlighting the importance of maintaining high ethical standards in academic and research activities. He also emphasized originality, integrity, responsible research practices, and professional conduct as essential elements of postgraduate education.

Dr Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF, guided the newly enrolled students about the University's rules, regulations, academic procedures, and institutional framework. Her session provided students with an understanding of the expectations associated with postgraduate education, including academic discipline, university policies, student responsibilities, and appropriate conduct within the University. Students were further introduced to the University's administrative and academic hierarchies, helping them understand the appropriate channels for communication, guidance, and resolution of academic or administrative matters.

Prof Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir, Director, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, TUF, introduced students to the University's research ecosystem and the role of ORIC in supporting research, innovation, and commercialization. He briefed the students about research policies, research-related procedures, and the University's framework for promoting quality research. Students were encouraged to develop a research-oriented mindset, identify meaningful research problems, follow ethical research practices, and contribute to the University's research culture. He also introduced the upcoming 4th International Conference on Advanced STEAM Education (ICASE-2026) and encouraged students to participate in the conference by submitting and presenting their research work.

Prof Dr Abdul Wahid, Director, Academics, introduced students to the Postgraduate Office and provided detailed guidance on academic rules and regulations applicable to postgraduate students. His address covered key academic procedures, postgraduate requirements, institutional academic hierarchies, and the responsibilities of students throughout their degree programs. He also explained the relevant channels through which postgraduate students can seek academic guidance and address academic matters. Mr Muhammad Zubair, Controller of Examinations, TUF, briefed the newly enrolled postgraduate students on the University's examination policies, procedures, and academic requirements. He explained key examination-related rules and regulations, including assessment procedures, examination conduct, academic discipline, and the responsibilities of students during the examination process. The orientation concluded with students gaining a clearer understanding of the academic, research, administrative, and professional expectations associated with postgraduate education at TUF.
