TUF Publication Society Organizes Mock Parliament on World Democracy Day
The Publication Society, TUF organized an event on Mock Parliament in celebration of World Democracy Day on 15 September 2026. The event was organized under the supervision of Ms Ifrah Fatima, Focal Person, Publication Society, with the valuable support of society’s team members.
Students from various departments actively participated in the parliamentary simulation, demonstrating the democratic process and the significance of public representation in Pakistan’s parliamentary system. During the proceedings, participants presented and debated the “Under-16 Social Media Accounts Restriction Bill, 2026,” highlighting key legislative procedures including discussion, deliberation, and voting.
The event provided an engaging platform for students to develop civic awareness, critical thinking, and a practical understanding of democratic governance. At the conclusion of the event, Prof Dr Katsiaryna Hurbik, Head, Department of English Language & Literature, presented souvenirs to the distinguished guests in recognition of their valuable contributions.
