The Psychological Health and Wellbeing Society, TUF, organized a Suicide Prevention Awareness Workshop to promote awareness about suicide prevention, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking timely psychological support. Organized under the guidance of Ms. Mariam Farooq, Focal Person, Psychological Society, the workshop aimed to create a supportive environment where students could better understand warning signs, reduce mental health stigma, and encourage help-seeking.

Students from different semesters of the Department of Psychology actively participated in awareness-based activities, including a Skit Competition and Chart Competition. Through creative performances and informative charts, students highlighted themes of empathy, emotional support, mental health awareness, professional intervention, and suicide prevention.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Saleem Abbas, Head of the Department and Chief Guest, who encouraged students and supported the awareness initiative. Dr. Jawaad Muhammad Shujaat, Guest Speaker, shared valuable insights on suicide prevention, psychological well-being, and the importance of timely support and professional intervention.

The event provided students with a meaningful platform to learn, express their understanding, and promote mental health awareness among their peers.

Special appreciation is extended to Ms. Mariam Farooq for her dedication and efforts in organizing the workshop, and to Dr. Saleem Abbas and Dr. Jawaad Muhammad Shujaat for their valuable support and contributions. Appreciation is also extended to all participating students for their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiastic involvement.
