TUF Organizes Milad Gathering Honouring Hazrat Ghaus-ul-Azam Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA)
The Department of Islamic Studies, in collaboration with the TUF Islamic Philosophical Society, The University of Faisalabad (TUF), successfully organized a spiritually enriching Milad Gathering to commemorate the life, teachings, and enduring spiritual legacy of Hazrat Ghaus-ul-Azam Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA).
The event was graced by Ms. Safia Jaffar, Senior Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies, who delivered an inspiring keynote address highlighting the timeless teachings and exemplary character of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA). She emphasized the significance of unwavering faith, sincerity, moral excellence, humility, compassion, self-purification, and devotion to Allah as the cornerstones of individual and societal reform. She further encouraged students to draw inspiration from the life of the great saint by adhering to the Qur’an and Sunnah and embracing values of integrity, service to humanity, and spiritual growth.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a heartfelt Naat-e-Rasool ﷺ. The gathering concluded with the recitation of Salam and a collective Dua for peace, prosperity, unity, and the well-being of the Muslim Ummah, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere for all participants.
Faculty members, students, and distinguished guests attended the event with great enthusiasm. The gathering served as a meaningful platform to strengthen spiritual awareness, reinforce Islamic moral values, and deepen love and respect for the righteous predecessors of Islam. It also inspired participants to cultivate noble character, compassion, and a stronger commitment to Islamic teachings in their personal and professional lives.
