TUF Organizes Independence Day Plantation Outreach Activity

TUF Organizes Independence Day Plantation Outreach Activity

In celebration of Independence Day 2026, the Department of Physiology, in collaboration with the TUF Literary Society, organized a Plantation Outreach Activity at Block A1 Park, FDA City, Sargodha Road, promoting environmental responsibility, community engagement, and the spirit of contributing to a greener Pakistan. The initiative combined the spirit of national pride with a meaningful commitment to environmental responsibility and community service.

The activity engaged participants in tree plantation and environmental awareness, highlighting the importance of green spaces, ecological balance, and collective action for a healthier future. By taking practical action beyond the university campus, the initiative extended TUF’s community engagement efforts and encouraged participants to become responsible contributors to a cleaner and greener Pakistan.

The outreach activity contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). Through this initiative, TUF reinforced the message that celebrating independence also means taking responsibility for the environment and working together to build a sustainable, resilient, and greener Pakistan.
