TUF Introduced Chinese Language Programme to Expand Global Learning Opportunities
The Confucius Institute (CI) Sub-Set at The University of Faisalabad organized an orientation program to officially introduce its newly launched Chinese Language Programme, offering students a gateway to international education, cultural exchange, and emerging career opportunities. The initiative reflects TUF's commitment to strengthening global academic engagement and preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, TUF, as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests were Dr Zahida Maqbool, Registrar; Prof Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir, Director, ORIC; Dr Saddam Hussain, Dean/Vice Chairman, Confucius Institute, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF); and Dr Muhammad Rizwan Chaudhary, Director, Confucius Institute (CI) Sub-Set, TUF. Faculty members, students, and officials from the Confucius Institute also attended the program.
In his keynote address, Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik emphasized that learning the Chinese language is no longer merely an academic pursuit but a strategic skill that opens doors to higher education, research collaborations, international scholarships, and global employment opportunities. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Saddam Hussain, Dean/Vice Chairman, Confucius Institute, UAF, highlighted the transformative role of the Confucius Institute in promoting Chinese language education and cultural exchange across Pakistan.
He encouraged students to engage with the program actively, noting that proficiency in Chinese can unlock scholarships, academic exchanges, and professional opportunities while strengthening the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China. Addressing the participants, Dr Zahida Maqbool encouraged students to embrace the opportunity with dedication and an open mindset. She highlighted that learning a new language broadens intellectual horizons, enhances cross-cultural understanding, and equips students with valuable skills required in today's competitive global environment. She reaffirmed TUF's commitment to providing quality international learning opportunities that prepare graduates for future success. The guests also appreciated the visionary leadership and continuous support of Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman, Board of Governors, TUF, for promoting internationalization and strengthening academic partnerships with leading institutions.
