TUF Hosts Seminar on the Teachings of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.)
The Department of Islamic Studies, The University of Faisalabad, organized a commemorative seminar titled "Teachings of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.) and Contemporary Social Challenges" on 14 July 2026 to mark the martyrdom of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.). The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, followed by a soulful Naat-e-Rasool ﷺ, creating a spiritually uplifting environment for reflection and learning.
The seminar featured Ms. Safia Jaffar, Senior Lecturer and PhD Scholar in Islamic Studies, as the Guest Speaker. She highlighted the exemplary life, character, and enduring legacy of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.), emphasizing how his teachings of patience, justice, compassion, humility, and steadfast faith continue to offer practical guidance in addressing today's moral, social, and ethical challenges. Faculty members and students actively participated in thoughtful discussions, reflecting on the relevance of these timeless principles in contemporary society.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the Department of Islamic Studies' commitment to promoting Islamic scholarship, moral values, and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.).
