TUF Hosts National Higher Education Leadership Engagement Series on PSG-2023
The University of Faisalabad successfully hosted the National Higher Education Leadership Engagement Series on PSG-2023 through the collaborative efforts of the Centre of Executive Learning (CEL) and the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). Held under the theme "The Quality Compact: From Conformity to Ownership – Empowering Institutions, Building a Resilient Quality Ecosystem," the conference aimed to strengthen Pakistan's higher education quality assurance framework by encouraging institutional ownership, leadership engagement, and sustainable quality practices. The event brought together approximately 70 participants, including Vice Chancellors, Rectors, Deans, Registrars, Directors of Quality Enhancement Cells, and senior academic leaders from universities across Pakistan.
The conference featured distinguished resource persons from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), including Mr Nasir Shah, Director General Quality Assurance; Mr Muhammad Wajid Ali, Deputy Director Quality Assurance; and Mr Agha Muhammad Raza, Fulbright Fellow in Higher Education Administration and Planning. The keynote and technical sessions focused on the implementation of PSG-2023, emphasizing the transition from compliance-based quality assurance to a culture of institutional ownership, evidence-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and long-term organizational maturity. Participants also explored practical strategies for embedding quality into governance, academic processes, and institutional planning.
The conference concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session that encouraged meaningful dialogue among higher education leaders regarding the implementation of the Quality Compact framework. The successful organization of this national event reaffirmed The University of Faisalabad's commitment to academic excellence, quality enhancement, and collaborative leadership in higher education, while further strengthening its role as a leading institution supporting innovation and sustainable quality practices across Pakistan.
