Rector TUF Advocates Stronger Industry–Academia Linkages for Industry-Prioritized Research and Future-Ready Graduates
Prof. Dr. Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, The University of Faisalabad, participated in a high-level Round Table Conference at The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), focused on “Industry–Academia Collaboration: Bridging the Gap Between Academia, Industry and the Job Market.”
Hosted by Mr. Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, President FCCI, the session brought together Vice Chancellors and Rectors of Faisalabad’s universities, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kamalia, the Vice Chancellor of Baba Guru Nanak University, Nankana Sahib, former presidents of FCCI, and key industry stakeholders.
The discussion emphasized strengthening academia–industry linkages through collaboration, innovation, practical learning, internships, and industry-prioritized research and development. Participants highlighted the need to align academic curricula and skills development with evolving industry requirements, enabling graduates to become more employable, adaptable, and competitive in a rapidly changing professional landscape. The stakeholders agreed to establish a common platform to achieve these objectives.
