TUF Department of Computer Sciences Hosts GitHub Dev Days

The Department of Computer Sciences, TUF successfully hosted GitHub Dev Days, an engaging and insightful event focused on GitHub, AI-Driven Development, Open Source, and emerging technologies.

The event brought together distinguished industry experts and technology leaders who shared valuable insights with students:

§ - Ms Aimen Shahid, Program Manager, NIC Faisalabad; “From FYP to Scalable Business Model”

§ - Mr Abdul Raheem, GitHub Campus Expert; “Role of GitHub Copilot in Open Source Contribution”

§ - Mr Farhan Ashraf, Consultant AISecOps & DevSecOps, Systems Limited; “Role of AI Agents in Open Source”

§ - Dr Hammad Armghan, Chief AI Officer & Director, CyberGen; Keynote: “The Most Dangerous Word in AI is Autonomous”

The sessions offered students practical perspectives on the rapidly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence, software development, GitHub, cybersecurity, open-source contribution and technology entrepreneurship. The event further featured interactive ice-breaking activities, student opportunities, appreciation shields and the distribution of Swift Uni and DataCamp subscriptions to selected students.
