Summer CME Course on Wound Management

The Department of Dermal Sciences, under the esteemed leadership of Prof. Dr. Tanzeela Khalid (Dean, Clinical Research), successfully launched Day 1 of the 24-hour CME-accredited Summer Course titled “Wound Management: Principles and Practice.”

The opening sessions were conducted by Dr. Kinza Arif (MS Wound Management, DDS), who delivered two in-depth modules focused on the foundational principles of wound care. With a strong academic grounding and clinical expertise, Dr. Arif transformed complex wound healing concepts into accessible, practice-ready insights for participants. Her dynamic teaching style and case-based explanations laid a strong foundation for what promises to be an impactful educational experience.

Day 2 of the 24-Hour CME-Accredited Summer Course on “Wound Management: The session was conducted by *Dr. Hamza (MBBS, MRCS \[Edinburgh], IIWCC \[Canada])*, who delivered an in-depth exploration of wound infection recognition, diagnostic approaches, and principles of wound bed preparation essential for effective treatment.

Supported by clinical case scenarios, peer discussions, and hands-on wound assessments, the session enabled students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical contexts—enhancing their diagnostic reasoning and management strategies.
