New Batch at Orientation Session for Diploma in Culinary Arts
TUF Institute of Hospitality & Gastronomy organized the Orientation Session for the Diploma in Culinary Arts, warmly welcoming a new cohort of aspiring culinary professionals and marking the beginning of their academic journey in one of the world's fastest-growing creative industries. The session was graced by the presence of Dr Muhammad Hamza Amin, Vice Chairman, TUF, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Dr Zahida Maqbool, Registrar; Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, Dean, National Business School; Mr Qasim Raza, Head of the Department of Hospitality & Gastronomy; Mr Hannan Iftikhar, Head of International Programs; Mr Aurangzeb, Deputy Registrar, Admission & Student Affairs; and Mr Usama, Manager, CCA. In his keynote address, Dr Muhammad Hamza Amin, congratulated the newly enrolled students and encouraged them to pursue their passion with dedication, creativity, and professionalism. He emphasized that the hospitality and culinary sectors offer immense global career opportunities and urged students to develop not only technical expertise but also leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills to excel in the evolving hospitality industry. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, highlighted the growing significance of culinary education in today's competitive world.
He encouraged students to embrace practical learning, maintain high professional standards, and continuously enhance their knowledge and skills to meet international industry expectations. He reaffirmed TUF's commitment to providing an industry-oriented learning environment that prepares graduates for successful careers. Addressing the participants, Mr Qasim Raza, introduced students to the department's vision, academic objectives, and the comprehensive roadmap of the Diploma in Culinary Arts.
