Department of Arabic & Islamic Studies in collaboration with the Departments of Rehabilitation Sciences and Computational Sciences organized a lecture on “Ramadan Celebration; The Religious Festival” in Saleem campus on 28th March.
Dr Humera Khalil, Assistant Professor Islamic Studies delivered a comprehensive talk on the blessings of the Holy month of Ramadan in the light of Quran and Hadith. She told that Ramadan is a blessed and sacred month in which Allah revealed the Holy Quran. This Holy month is an opportunity given by Allah, for His servants to come close to Him, seek forgiveness for their sins, and fulfillment of their needs. Fasting in Ramadan strengthens unity and equality among Muslims. It teaches sympathy towards the poor and needy, she further added. The event culminated with Drood-o-Salam and Dua by Ms Ayesha Batool.
