The Islamic Philosophic Society, in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Studies, organized the event titled “One Ummah One Body”. The program aimed to promote unity, empathy, and brotherhood within the Muslim Ummah in light of Qur’anic teachings and the Sunnah, while also commemorating October 7, 2023 — a day symbolizing the pain, resilience, and collective responsibility of the global Muslim community.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof Dr Matloob Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who delivered an insightful address on the significance of solidarity and compassion in Islam. He emphasized the moral and spiritual duty of Muslims to stand together in times of adversity and uphold the values of justice, kindness, and unity. Members of the Islamic Philosophic Society also presented thoughtful speeches, sharing their reflections on the theme and reaffirming their commitment to fostering awareness, harmony, and collective consciousness among students.
