IEEE Distinguished Lecture Program on AI, ML, and Network Security

The Department of Computer Science organized a Seminar and Workshop under the IEEE Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP) featuring Dr Fatima Hussain, Principal SaaS Security Architect at the Royal Bank of Canada, and a globally recognized researcher and industry leader. Dr Hussain, a Senior Member of IEEE, delivered an insightful lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Network Security, with a particular focus on SaaS Governance, Ethical AI, and Insider Threat Detection. Her session offered an engaging blend of academic insight and industry experience, inspiring both students and professionals.

Distinguished academicians including Prof Dr Ramzan Talib, Prof Dr Mariam Rahnam (GCUF), Prof Dr Saqib Ali (UAF), Prof Dr Sultan Zia (NFC), and Dr Rizwan Sab (Riphah International) graced the event with their presence. From the industry, Prof Dr Ghufran Khan (CEO), Mr Imran Khan (Managing Architect, Systems Pvt. Ltd.), and representatives from FCCI led by Prof Dr Habib Aslam Gabba also attended.

This event marked a historic milestone as the first-ever IEEE Distinguished Lecture Program held in Faisalabad, reflecting TUF’s growing prominence in technological education and research. The event featured Mr Kashif Bashir, Chair IEEE ComSoc Lahore Section, Dr Fatima Hussain as keynote speaker, Rector TUF as chief guest, and was organized by the IEEE Student Branch Team, led by Mr Samraiz Zahid, under the supervision of the Department of Computer Science, TUF.
