Gosha-e-Zoq-o-Adab Society Commemorates Iqbal Day with Literary and Artistic Expressions

The Gosha-e-Zoq-o-Adab Society, in collaboration with the Centre of Collective Activities (CCA), organized a commemorative event to celebrate Iqbal Day, honoring the life, vision, and philosophy of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The program commenced with the soulful recitation of Allama Iqbal’s timeless hymn, “Lab Pe Ātī Hai Duā”, setting a reflective and patriotic tone for the event.

The celebration featured three engaging segments that beautifully captured Iqbal’s poetic and philosophical essence:

  • Shikwa / Jawab-e-Shikwa – A powerful poetic presentation of Iqbal’s renowned works. ·
  • Drama: Bedārī ka Lamha – A thought-provoking performance highlighting self-realization and national awakening
  • Podcast: Marātib-e-Ishq – A creative dialogue exploring the stages of love and spirituality in Iqbal’s philosophy.

The event concluded with enlightening talks on Allama Iqbal’s life and ideology, delivered by Mr Hussain Fareed, Lecturer, Department of English, and Dr Riaz, the Chief Guest of the ceremony. The session served as an inspiring tribute to Iqbal’s enduring message of khudi (selfhood), awakening a renewed sense of purpose and patriotism among students.
