The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized a comprehensive workshop titled “From Draft to Journal: Mastering Research and Publication,” which served as a valuable capacity-building session aimed at empowering students, researchers, and academic professionals with practical knowledge and skills to strengthen their research journey—from developing a research idea to successfully publishing it in reputed journals.
The event provided a productive platform for both students and faculty to enhance their research capabilities while aligning with international academic standards. It marked another significant milestone in the university’s ongoing commitment to educational innovation, research excellence, and scholarly growth. Distinguished speakers from academia and research sectors delivered insightful sessions during the workshop. Dr Rana Muhammad Aadil, Associate Professor at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), shared his expertise in food science and literature search techniques. Dr Allah Rakha, Associate Professor at UAF, discussed key aspects of nutrition research, scientific ethics, and research methodologies. Dr Muhammad Afzaal, Associate Professor at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), spoke on product development, scientific innovation, and strategies for impactful research. Dr Roshina Rabbil, Member of the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Council (PKNC), guided participants on academic writing, digital tools, and publishing platforms.
This initiative directly supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting research literacy and academic excellence, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by enhancing innovation in scientific development, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
