Environmental Society Hosts Seminar on “Climate Change: Coping Strategies and Challenges”

The Environmental Society organized a highly informative seminar on 10th November titled “Climate Change: Coping Strategies and Challenges.” The event aimed to raise awareness and foster meaningful dialogue on one of the most pressing global issues of our time. A panel discussion was held featuring distinguished experts who shared their valuable perspectives on the multifaceted impacts of climate change and the strategies needed to mitigate its effects

The panelists included:

  • Dr Habib Aslam Gaba, Convener, Standing Committee on Academia-Industry Linkages, Policy Advocacy and SDGs, The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Dr Zill-e-Huma, Pro Vice Chancellor, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCUF)
  • Mr Ahsan Iqbal Bela, Environmental Engineer, Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC)
  • Mr Muhammad Saleem Ahmad Ranjha, Advisor, Spectreco and InnoVista Ravi

The session was moderated by Dr Shaista Shafiq, Head, Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology, The University of Faisalabad (TUF), whose insightful facilitation ensured a dynamic and intellectually engaging discussion among the panelists and participants.

The seminar emphasized the importance of sustainable practices, collective responsibility, and policy-driven approaches to effectively tackle environmental challenges. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, encouraging participants to share ideas and contribute to actionable solutions for a sustainable future.
