TUF Hosted TEDx 2025 — Igniting Minds, Shaping Futures

With passion, purpose, and innovation at its core, The University of Faisalabad, in collaboration with its Entrepreneurship Society and Center of Collective Activities (CCA), proudly hosted TEDxTUF — a vibrant platform celebrating the power of ideas, creativity, and inspiration.

The event marked a defining moment in TUF’s journey to empower thinkers, nurture innovation, and inspire the leaders of tomorrow. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF, along with members of the academic leadership, faculty, and students.

Adding brilliance to the occasion, four distinguished speakers from diverse professional backgrounds took the stage to share their transformative journeys and ideas worth spreading:

  • Mr Yousuf Bashir Qureshi (YBQ), Renowned Artist, Designer, and Founder, YBQ Design Studios

The first speaker, Mr Asmat Ullah Khan, delivered an inspiring talk titled “Startups: The Catalyst for a Better Tomorrow,” highlighting how entrepreneurial ventures serve as powerful drivers of economic growth, social impact, and individual empowerment. He encouraged students to embrace boldness and innovation, reminding them that “every great change begins with a single idea — and the courage to pursue it.”

Ms Sehrish Raza followed with a captivating session titled “We Built AI to Think Like Us – But Can It Dream?” Exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and human consciousness, she challenged the audience to consider the emotional and ethical dimensions of technology, concluding with the impactful message: “In teaching machines to think, let us not forget how to feel.”

The third keynote by Mr Asfand Yar Naseer— “From Dreamers to Doers: Pakistan’s Digital Awakening”—focused on the country’s digital transformation and the youth’s pivotal role in shaping a technology-driven future. He inspired the audience with his words: “This is Pakistan’s digital awakening — and you are its architects.”

Concluding the lineup, Mr Yousuf Bashir Qureshi (YBQ) delivered a soulful and poetic talk titled “Tomorrow Never Comes.” Reflecting on time, authenticity, and purpose, he reminded the audience that true fulfillment lies in embracing the present moment. Sharing verses from his poetry, he beautifully summarized, “Tomorrow never comes — it is only today that shapes eternity.”

The event concluded with a Souvenirs & Recognition Ceremony, where Dr Zahida Maqbool, Registrar, TUF, presented souvenirs to the distinguished speakers in appreciation of their inspiring contributions. Later, Mr Yousuf Bashir Qureshi (YBQ) awarded certificates to members of the Entrepreneurship Society, CCA Team, and Media Team, recognizing their exceptional efforts in organizing a successful and impactful TEDx event.
