Course Description:

Medical Imaging Science which deals with the use of ionizing radiation including X rays and other forms of radiant energy in the diagnosis treatment and management of diseases, is an independent area of modern medical sciences and pivot of modern diagnostic machine. It is a health care profession combining state of the art technology and imaging techniques with human compassion to provide
a rewarding career.


The program is designed to attain the following objectives

  1. To train Radiological professionals  with sufficient and relevant scientific and technological skills with high degree of competence and safety in the practice of radiography in health care delivery system.
  2. To train Radiological professionals with sufficient interdisciplinary skills to perform their role as members in healthcare teams.
  3. Course work typically focuses on Patient care, patient positioning, radiation safety and protection in addition to radiation physics, pathology and other advanced topics.

Career Opportunities:

There are plenty opportunities for graduate Radiographers in teaching and general hospitals to perform in patient assessment, patient management, fluoroscopy and other radiologic procedures.
