At department of Design & Interiors, we are constantly evolving our design teaching methodologies, incorporating the latest advancements in art, design & architecture into our curricula to achieve excellence & innovation in education with socio-cultural & environment sensitive aspirations. Our aim is to create professionals in the field of art & design with creative sensibilities, aptitude for critical thinking & design empathy, equipped with knowledge of historical precedents, contemporary issues & sustainable approaches. Our multi-disciplinary schema towards art & design pedagogy is founded on interactive studio practices, integrated theoretical formulations, hands-on training workshops to encourage working in a collaborative peer-learning environment, and develop creative problem solving skills, self-expression, and design literacy. By training the eye, hand, and mind in traditional forms and new emergent media, we nurture creative expression and instill appreciation of the central importance of the design to day to day dynamics of life.

We are offering Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Graphic Design & Bachelor of Interior design, all exclusively crafted degree programs for young aspirants out there to cultivate, experiment & persevere individual design identities through developing skill building, analytical & conceptual development, and innovation.

We aspire to develop a lifelong aptitude for art & design values in socio-cultural & environmental contexts at the regional and global level by endorsing inquiry, reflection, invention & dialogue.


The mission of the Department of Design & Interiors is to be one of the leaders in the community of Interior Designers and artists who appreciate diversity and creative excellence, making lasting contributions to a global society through critical thinking, creativity and innovation and observe global trends in design and contemporary lifestyles while providing thoughtful, human-centric and holistic solutions to complex design problems.


The program should be developed to achieve the following objectives:

  • To inculcate study of contemporary and traditional art & design practices through exploring variety of mediums motivated towards both skill building and the development of critical and analytical skills.
  • To fulfill a need for high quality manpower in designing, planning and managing the built environment at national & international level creating designers with advanced creative approaches towards real-time issues in the contemporary world.
  • To address the need for training of professionals who are ethically sensitive to the norms, needs and values of the society and the profession reflecting curiosity, flexibility, empathy, imagination, expansive thinking and critical analysis not only in design but also in their various ways of life.
  • To demonstrate a sound and critical understanding of various theories of design and their relationship to design history, design practice and broader theories of culture and knowledge and its implications in exploring design situations and outcomes for a range of contemporary scenarios.
  • To develop cognitive skills of individuals to critically analyze, consolidate and synthesize knowledge to identify and solve problems with intellectual independence and cultivate communication skills to present coherent and independent exposition of knowledge and ideas..

Role and Scope

The degrees offered by our department incorporates an array of tools, strategies and design thinking methodologies over the period of 8 semesters that enable students to become adaptive, multidisciplinary artists & designers majoring in Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts and Visual Arts. We encourage our students to observe global trends in design and contemporary lifestyles while providing thoughtful, human-centric and holistic solutions to complex design problems. Developing a concept oriented approach our students explore gesture, improvisation, and relational compositions, as well as historical and cultural allusions, context and hence develop individual sensibilities while establishing an effective process of inquiry, reflection & invention.

About Us

Design and Interiors Department is stands pioneer in design education not only in Faisalabad but across entire country. Our Bachelor of Interior Design program initiated in 2014, has successfully flourished producing ambitious graduates who are able to combine design competence with manufacturing dexterity to create products that are functional and aesthetically appealing. We equip the students with higher sensitivity and efficient skills in dealing with designs tackling the national as well as regional issues through input from a variety of specialized subject matter relevant to aspirations of national, regional, institutional and professional needs and opportunities. We also offer Bachelor degree program in Fine arts and Graphic design and Master degree program in Interior design further expanding our domain in integrated art & design pedagogy aptly supported and vitalized by institutional resources and expertise.


After successful completion of required credits of respective degree programs and time spent in internship, the students will be able to secure jobs in the private or public sectors. The department provides pertinent support & guidance to the students in their placements across several fields & opportunities available to them.

Amna Hall, Khadija Hall, Ayesha Hall, Fatima Hall, Zainab Hall, Ruqaiya Hall, and TUFIANS are hostels having furnished rooms to accommodate more than 1200 students. These halls provide a number of facilities including TV lounges, common rooms, study rooms, Wi-Fi, prayer rooms and kitchens. All students residing in the hostel are expected to conform to rules and regulations framed from time to time.


Food catering service having a wide range of quality snacks and meals at modest prices is available throughout the day.


Branches of Habib Metropolitan Bank are opened for facilitating the students and employees of the university in making financial transactions. ATM machines are also installed in the University.


The university has out-sourced transport to facilitate students in their pick and drop from and to the University.
