Literary Society of TUF organized Trilingual Declamation Contest in Saleem Auditorium. Twelve participants from different Universities of Faisalabad participated in English, Urdu and Punjabi declamations. Prof Dr Syed Jawad Hussain and Dr Maimoona Abdulaziz were the judges. The results were as follows:

Second: Fizza Batool, GC University for Women Madina Town
First: Amna Mehak, The University of Faisalabad
Both contestants were disqualified due to plagiarized content.
The winners were awarded prizes and certificates.
Religious Society, TUF organized a seminar on “Shab-e-Miraaj” on March 28, 2019. Ms Safia Jafar, Lecturer School of Arabic and Islamic Sciences delivered talk on importance of Shab-e-Miraaj. She also threw light on the teachings of great personalities of Islamic history “Syedna Imam Musa Kazim (Alaeh-i-Salam), Hazrat Umar bin Abdulaziz (Rehmat-Ullah Alaih) and Hazrat Khawaja Junaid Baghdadi (Rehmat-Ullah Alaih).
Religious Society, TUF under the auspices of School of Arabic and Islamic Sciences organized a program to commemorate Birth Anniversary of Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajhahu in Saleem Auditorium on March 21, 2019.
Ms Ayesha Batool and students offered Manaqib of Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajhahu. They paid rich tributes to great companion of Holy Prophet (SAW) saying that there was no other personality that could be compared with him in knowledge, wisdom and bravery. They stressed the need to follow the Seerat and teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) in true letter and spirit.
To acknowledge and reward the efforts of Fourth batch of “Certificate in Teaching and Learning” a certificate distribution ceremony was held on 15th of March under the umbrella of Director Medical Education Dr Tanzeela Khalid and team. Professor Dr Muhammad Saeed Pro-rector Health Sciences wing, The University of Faisalabad was the Chief Guest. He distributed certificates amongst the participants and congratulated them for their commendable efforts. In the end, Dr Tanzeela Khalid thanked all the participants. She also motivated the faculty by stating that now it is the responsibility of the participants to actively and effectively teach their students. She also thanked her team Dr Shirza Nadeem, Dr Sumera Riaz, Dr Sundus Tariq, Dr Saba Tariq and Dr Komal Atta for their contribution in the course. The event was an achievement not only for the learners who received the certificates, but also for the entire Medical Education team. A proud moment indeed!
March is National Nutrition Month. The campaign promotes healthy eating habits and nutrition education. School of Nutrition and Dietetics, TUF organized a seminar on “Clinical Indicators of Nutritional Assessment” in Health Sciences wing on March 14, 2019.
Nutritional assessment and screening activities were conducted by Ms Nida Iftikhar and Ms Nizwa Qamar under the supervision of Prof Dr Syed Jawad Hussain, Head of School. The event aimed to help the people to gain access to healthy foods and encourage small changes to daily routines can make a big difference for overall health.
The first level of all Punjab University of Health Sciences debate competition was held in University
Medical & Dental College on February 8, 2019. Students from MBBS and BDS enthusiastically
participated in competition. Ms Khunsha Khalid (3rd year MBBS) stood first in English debate titled
“Knowledge is power or power is power” and Ms Maria (4th year MBBS) stood first in Urdu debate titled
”Face Book, Do Dhaari Talwaar”.
This successful event was presided and organized by Prof Dr Haji Aslam, Dr Saba Tariq and Dr Sundus
Tariq. Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Principal, UMDC appreciated the effort of students and faculty.

Alaiha) , great daughter of our beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) on
February 7, 2019 in Saleem Auditorium.
Students recited verses from the Holy Quran, oﬀered Naat Rasool Maqbool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)
and Manaqib. Expressing their views, students threw light on the Holy life of Syeda Fatima (Salam-Ullah-
Alaiha) as a great religious personality in the history of Islam. They emphasized that the Muslim women
must follow the footsteps of Syeda Fatima (Salam-Ullah-Alaiha) so that they may succeed in this world
To express the solidarity with Kashmir School of Interior Design, The University of Faisalabad. Signed an online petition in favor of Kashmir Right of Self Discrimination. Thousands of students, faculty members and administration staff of TUF and UMDC pledge to sign the petition with the formation of Kashmir Flag with their signatures.
A lecture on “Spiritual Intelligence and Personality Development” was arranged in Alam Tower Sub Campus, Lahore on January 28, 2019.
Renowned Islamic Scholar Shaykh Ahmad Dabbagh, Principal of UK Academy of Islamic Sciences and Director of Wise Life Academy was the guest speaker. Shaykh Ahmad Dabbagh is a teacher of Self-Purification whose family lineage links back to Hazrat Imam Hassan al Basri (Rehmat ullah Alaih).
In his lecture, Ahmad Dabbagh focused on the purification of soul and self-development so that the human being could be purified from all negative thoughts, actions, emotions and morals by replacing them with positive thoughts, actions, emotions and morals. This method is known as Prophetic Method (Tareeqah Muhammadiyah).
Besides the large number of students and faculty members, Dr Ali Akbar Alazhari, Dean Islamic Studies Lahore Garrison University, Dr Masood Ahmad Mujahid, Minhaj University Lahore and Col (Retd) Muhammad Dawood Piracha, Deputy Director Operations Alam Tower Sub Campus also attended the spiritual session.
Ch Mohammad Sarwar, Governor of the Punjab inaugurated Alam Tower Sub Campus of The University of Faisalabad, at Lahore on November 10, 2018. In Inaugural ceremony Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin, Chairman Punjab HEC, Mian Muhammad Hanif, Chairman BoG, TUF, Mian Muhammad Rasheed, Vice Chairman BoG, Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector, faculty members, new students and their parents were present. Addressing the students, Governor Punjab advised that our youth should realize their responsibilities towards the country and should contribute for the welfare of humanity. He particularly appreciated the efforts of Mian Muhammad Hanif, Chairman Madinah Foundation for his valuable services in health and education sectors. Later, Governor Punjab visited different departments, Library and IT lab of the Campus.
