Orientation and welcome program was conducted for the fresh entrants Fall 2018 in TUF Engineering Wing . Prof Dr Zaheer Javed Paracha, Pro Rector, Dr.Najeeb Haider ,Additional Registrar and Ms Zahida Maqbool, welcomed the new TUFIANS and shared their valuable insights. ‘With its state-of-the-art facilities, purpose built campus, qualified faculty and a comprehensive curriculum, TUF oﬀers a great opportunity of higher learning to the youth, they added. Heads of Schools also addressed the students and threw light on the importance of their respective disciplines.
Prof Dr Vedran Stefanovic, Senior consultant in Obstetrics, Gynecology and fetal medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, medical teacher at Medical School, Helsinki University Hospital, Finland, visited The University of Faisalabad and Madinah Teaching Hospital on October 26, 2018. Prof Vedran, in his keynote lecture, discussed the high risk pregnancy and non invasive prenatal diagnostic tests. Prfo Vedran Stefanovic also visited the state of the art departments of MTH along with the Pro Rector TUF Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Bashir and Additional Medical superintendent Dr Dimple Mustafa. Having special interest in fetal medicine, postpartum hemorrhage, fetal hypoxia and preterm birth, Prof Vedran had a thorough discussion and detailed round of the departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Neonatal intensive care unit in the department of Pediatrics. In his discussion with Prof Dr Aisha Sajid HOD Pediatrics, Prof Vedran appreciated the standard care being provided to the high risk newborns in NICU. He showed special interest in the management protocols of high risk patients being implemented in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as discussed with Prof Dr Mubashra Naz HOD obstetrics and Gynecology department.

TUF Students’ Societies welcomed the fresh entrants and introduced themselves with different colorful activities.
In this session, Prof. Dr. Mussarat ul Hasnain was specially invited. He took a very interesting session on Team Based Learning. All the participants were actively involved in this session. On third day of Certificate in teaching and learning, the participants gave 5 minutes presentation keeping in mind the things they have learned. In the end, Dr Tanzeela Khalid thanked all the participants for their enthusiastic contribution and learning.
School of English Language and Literature arranged “English Literature and Linguistics Exhibition” on October 18, 2018. Main genres of English Literature and fundamental concepts of Linguistics were exhibited via paintings, sketches, posters, and models. Dr Syed Kazim Shah, the Chief Guest of the event, appreciated the students’ efforts and encouraged them to write their own pieces of poetry and prose. He asked several questions about each model from the students and gave details on relevant areas that may be further studied. Professor Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro-Rector TUF and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar TUF, also visited the exhibition, and appreciated students’ work whole heartedly.

The world’s biggest Quran Kareem manuscript unveils at Engineering Campus : 51ft long & 8.5 ft wide Quran Kareem has been reproduced by peer Imtiaz Haider, in an exhibition under the auspices of the Deptt of Library & Information Resource centre at The University of Faisalabad Engineering Campus. The art of the Quran is the first major exhibition of its kind in Pakistan.
