The University of Faisalabad, Engineering Campus organized a Mehfil e Mushaira in connection with the martyrs of “karbla”, under the auspices of the school of Arabic & Islamic sciences. Dr Najeeb Haider the Additional Registrar of The University of Faisalabad Engineering Campus presided over the function and Dr.Naseem Sehraie graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Towering literary icons & poets from Faisalabad: kashif kamal, Afzal khaksar, Naseem sehraie sahiba, kausar aleemi, Ashraf yousfi, Sarwar Khan Sarwar, saghir Hashmi and Riaz Qadri presented their fresh verses to pay homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (As) & Hazarat Imam Ali zain ul Aabideen (As)


Mehfil-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

A Mehfil-e-Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) was held in Saleem Auditorium, TUF on September 27, 2018. Famous Naat Khwan Ms Salma Khan, recited beautiful Hamd, Naat Rasool Maqbool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and Manaqib-e- Ehl-e-Bait Athaar (Alaehimus-Salam).

Students from various Schools of TUF also enthusiastically participated in reciting beautiful Naats and Drood-o-Salam.  Mufti Muhammad Farooq Qadri, Director, Riaz ul Jannah Islamic Complex was the guest of honour.   Program concluded with an overwhelming recitation of Dua for the prosperity of the country and for the unity of Muslim Ummah.

International Peace Week

TUFIANS are celebrating International Peace Week to recognize the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace in the world. In this context, different students’ societies of TUF organized colorful activities in Health Sciences Wing on September 26, 2018.

A documentary on this years’ theme “To Reach Peace, Teach Peace” was presented by the students. TUF Dramatic Society presented a skit performance. Students of School of Interior Design did an Art Installation commemorating the peace emblem of Pakistan Adul Sattar Edhi (Late), and his extensive efforts in establishing peace and harmony. The event was followed by an awareness walk led by Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector Health Sciences Wing.

Mehfl-e-Mushaera “Manaqib-e- Ehl-e-Bait Athaar (AS)

Following its traditions, The University of Faisalabad organized a Mehfl-e-Mushaera on “Manaqib-e- Ehl-e-Bait Athaar (Alaehimus-Salam)” to pay homage to martyr of Syedna Imam Hussain (Alaeh-i-Salam) and his companions.

The event held for females in Health Sciences Wing on September 12, 2018. Renowned poetesses of the city; Dr Shahida Yousaf, Prof Razia Sajjad, Prof Dr Ansa Ahmad Saeed Awan, Dr Naseem Sahraee, Dr Ambreen Ashar, Ms Bushra Naz, Ms Shamim Zafar Rana, Ms Naz Fatimah, Ms Gulfam Naqvi, Mrs Naveed Shahzad and Ms Samina Raees participated in the event, culminated with Drood o Salam and Dua.

Mehfil e Mushaira Munaqib Hazrat Umar RA

Mehfil e Mushaira Munaqib Hazrat Umar RA organized under the auspices of the school of Arabic & Islamic sciences at The University of Faisalabad, Engineering Campus. The Pro-Rector Dr. Zaheer Javed Paracha presided over the function and Additional Registrar Dr. Najeeb Haider participated as the guest of honor. The famous & distinguished poets of Faisalabad presented their fresh verses to pay homage to Hazaar Umar RA. A large number of students and faculty members also participated in the function. At the end of the “Mushaira” the Pro-Rector the University of Faisalabad, Engineering Campus expressed his deepest gratitude and thankfulness to the poets. He reiterated his commitment to keep carry on such valuable and sublime programmes in the future. Mehfil e Mushaira ended on a working lunch at the campus.

Two day workshop on “HCNA” cyber security organized by School of Electrical Engineering (TuF)

Research associates from UET Data com, Huawei and IT gave presentations on various topics:  FSD (Press Release) Two day workshops on “HCNA” and cyber security organized by School of Electrical Engineering come to a close. It was attended by research associates from UET Lahore, Data com IT and Huawei Company and a large number of students. Speaking on the occasion, Awais Ahmad cheema of Electrical Engineering Deptt, TuF, emphasized that these workshops are instrumental in equipping the students with the state of art and knowledge about modern technologies and bringing a revolution in the field of IT. The chief guest, Assistant Manager Research Huawei Fahmeed Akram, Deputy Manager IT UET jawad kazim, Research officer Huawei M. Zubair briefed the students on cyber security & Huawei IT competition 2018.

Prof, Dr. M Asim The chairperson school of Electrical Engineering, The University of Faisalabad appreciated the keen interest of the students in workshops and vowed to carry on such stupendous workshops and seminars at Engineering Campus, in the future. He also rendered a massive vote of thanks to all the guests. At the end of the programme, Shields of honour were presented to the guests.

World Physical Therapy Week at TUF

‘’One run can change your day many runs can change your life’’. World Physical Therapy week is celebrated across the globe each year in September to create awareness and acknowledge the role played by Physical Therapist in making their society and community healthy, mobile and independent. World PT day was organized at The University of Faisalabad, Health Sciences Wing from 4th September to 8th September. Different activities were conducted by DPT students in order to illuminate the significant role played by physical therapists.
Day 1:
Inauguration was done by worthy Chief Guest Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector Health Sciences Wing and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar. Inter-semester competitions were held in different categories i.e. poster, presentation, model, skit and documentary competitions.
Day 2:
On 2nd day, one day free Physical Therapy camp was organized at Madina Teaching Hospital. Dr Rana Bashir Ahmad, MS MTH inaugurated the camp activity. Camp had the following objectives:
 To assess the patients and evaluate them
 To provide free of cost medicine
 Free tests including BMI, BP, hepatitis and uric acid
 To educate the society
Day 3:
On 3rd day a seminar was organized on the topic of ‘Mental health and Physical therapy” not only for students of physical therapy but also for students other disciplines. Dr Nazia Sarfraz;PT was the resource person. In her lecture she threw light on mental health and different factors influencing it. Moreover she highlighted the role of physical therapist in improving physical and psychological health.
Day 4 & 5:
A two days’ workshop on ‘’Acupuncture in pain management of musculoskeletal conditions’’ was organized. Acupuncture is being used across the globe. Understanding its importance and positive effects in pain management of musculoskeletal conditions school of Rehabilitation Sciences The University of Faisalabad organized a workshop. Resource person Dr Muhammad Khan;PT delivered comprehensive talk on the topic. Alumni and Postgraduate students attended this informative session.
The celebrations were culminated with cake cutting ceremony. Winners of poster, presentation, model and skit competitions were awarded with trophies and certificates.
