Religious Society TUF organized a program to pay homage to “Syedna Imam Moosa Kazim (AS), Ummul Momineen Syeda Umme Habiba (RA), Ummul Momineen Syeda Jawerai (RA) and Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA) on October 26, 2017 in Health Sciences Campus. Students of MA Islamic Studies expressed their views on holy lives, teachings and great services rendered by these great personalities of Islamic history.
School of English Language and Literature organized “Literature and Linguistics Exhibition” on October 24, 2017. The event aimed to highlight the important aspects of Literature and Linguistics through paintings, sketches, sculptures and different models. The exhibition provided a glimpse into different eras of history of English literature. Prof Dr Abdul Majeed, Rector TUF was the chief guest of the event.
Mehfil-e-Mushaera on Wisal-e-Syedena Imam Zainul Abideen (R.A) was organized on October 25, 2017.
School of Arabic and Islamic Studies, The University of Faisalabad also arranged a Mushaera on the Wisal -e- Syedena Imam Zainul Abideen (R.A). Prominent poets attended the event and offered Munaqib. The poets included Bismil shamsi, Kausar Ali, Muhammad Afzal Khaksar, Riaz Ahamd Qadri, Sarwar Khan Sarwar, Lateef shahzad chisti, Kausar Aleemi , Ahmad shahzad khawar , Masood Siddquie and Saghar Shahzad. At the end Mr Hamid Nawaz Sheikh, Controller Examination, in his presidential address urged the audience to get enlightenment from the holy life of Hazart Imam Zain ul Abideen (R.A).The event culminated with Drood o Salam and Dua.
The art of making and dispensing spectacles is laborious but essential aspect of optometry. Inappropriate spectacle frames and lenses may affect patient’s visual, aesthetic and vocational endeavor. Considering the importance of ophthalmic dispensing in optometry; School of Optometry, The University of Faisalabad organized an interactive hands on training session for final year students of OD on topic “Dispensing eye-wears Hands on Training” on October 19, 2017. City’s leading dispensing opticians Mr Moeez Ahmad and Mr Usman from Optix One, Faisalabad played their remarkable role in grounding optometry students about frame fitting and lens cutting.
To mark World Osteoporosis Day, TUF Rehabilitation Society in collaboration with Department of Orthopedics, MTH organized a series of activities in The University of Faisalabad, Sargodha Road, TUF and in Madinah Teaching Hospital on October 20, 2017. The events aimed at improving knowledge of bone health and osteoporosis prevention.
On this occasion, Prof Dr Kaleem Shaukat, Head Department of Orthopedics, MTH delivered a lecture on prevention of osteoporosis. Considering the importance of public awareness and education in lowering the risk of osteoporosis and its complications an awareness walk was also organized, actively participated by faculty members and students. Members of Rehabilitation Society organized a free BMD test, free physical activity and nutritional advice was given to students and administrative staff. In this regard, awareness brochures were also distributed amongst staff and patients in MTH.
School of Nutrition and Dietetics organized Food Festival to mark World Food Day in The University of Faisalabad, Sargodha Road.
Stalls having a wide variety of quality food products were set up by the students of DND showcasing their products and services. These food stalls attracted large number of faculty members and students. The event was supervised by Prof Dr Syed Jawad Hussain, Head School of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Numerical simulation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is an important field of chemical engineering. CFD is the science of predicting fluid, heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical reactor and related phenomena by solving the mathematical equations which govern these processes using a numerical process the result of CFD analysis is relevant engineering data used in, conceptual studies new design, detailed product development, troubleshooting and redesign.

In conjunction with World Sight day, School of Optometry organized School Children Eye Screening camp. Students of Doctor of Optometry, 9th semester conducted this activity in University Cambridge School, Sargodha Road, Faisalabad.
Screening was based on anterior eye examination, refractive errors, squint and BSV assessment. Total number of 130 students was evaluated from class 1 to 8. Both genders were screened for ocular examination and visual acuity.
The main outcomes of this program were found as refractive errors in 43 students, strabismus in 5 children and allergic eye conditions in 25 students. Also 36 students had 6/6 vision. The major factor was of decrease of vision upon testing through VA Snellen chart. After refractive errors strabismus was second most common finding. Allergies of eye were also found. Teachers were counseled about students’ conditions and how to manage them.
Orientation sessions and welcome programs are being conducted for the newly enrolled students of The University of Faisalabad. Third session for the students of Allied Health Sciences was conducted on October 20, 2017.
Naqeeb ul Ashraf H.E. Dr Syed Khalid Abdul Qadir Mansoor Al-Gillani from Baghdad Sharif, Iraq was the chief guest of the event. In his motivational talk to the new TUFIANS, he shared his words of wisdom. He explained the importance of seeking knowledge for every Muslim particularly for women in the light of Quran and Hadith.
Muhammad Haider Amin, Trustee, Madinah Foundation welcoming the fresh entrants expressed his views on the occasion. He encouraged the students to take full advantage of state of the art academic facilities and opportunities provided by TUF to develop holistically.

In Health Sciences Campus, First session was conducted on October 18, 2017 for the students of Arts and Social Sciences, Management Studies and Computation sciences. Second session for the students of Pharmacy, Nutrition & Dietetics, Rehabilitation Sciences and Pathology was held on October 19, 2017.
Prof Dr Abdul Majeed, Rector, TUF, Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar in their welcome addresses expressed that with its state-of-the-art facilities, purpose built campuses, qualified faculty and a comprehensive curriculum, TUF offers a great opportunity of higher learning to the youth of this country.
Heads and Coordinators of Schools also addressed the students and threw light on the importance of their respective disciplines. Later students visited library, labs and other academic facilities provided in the Campus.
