H.E Mr Iwan Suyudhie Amri, Ambassador of Indonesia visits TUF

His Excellency Mr Iwan Suyudhie Amri, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia for Pakistan, visited The University of Faisalabad on December 26, 2016. In his address to the faculty members and students in Health Sciences Campus, Mr Iwan Suyudhie Amri expressed that Pakistan and Indonesia have deep rooted religious, cultural and economic relations. These associations can be more strengthened by promoting the relations in the field of education. He emphasized the importance of higher professional education for females in an Islamic country like Pakistan. This was his second visit to The University of Faisalabad during this year.

Prof Dr Abdul Majeed, Rector and Maj (Retd) Izhar ul Ahsan, Registrar of the University also addressed the audience.

Workshop on Qualitative Research Methods

Workshop on “Qualitative Research Methods” was arranged at Health Sciences for faculty of TUF and UMDC Campus on December 23, 2016 .Ms Katsiaryna Hurbik, Assistant Professor/Head School of English was the facilitator. She talked explicitly about application of qualitative research methods in various fields of study and their importance. The workshop also included a case study that provided a hand on experience for exploring diverse qualitative methods. The session was well appreciated by the audience.

Free Medical Camp

The University of Faisalabad often arranges such free medical camps in which needy people are given free medical advice and medicines by a team of doctors. Following its tradition Rehabilitation Society of TUF arranged a free medical camp in Engineering Campus on December 21, 2016. Patients availed the services provided by Medical specialist; diabetic counselor, nutritionist, dentist, and physical therapist .Dr Ahmad Bilal Arif;PT Head School of Rehabilitation Sciences welcomed the Chief Guest Prof Dr Abdul Majeed Rector, The University of Faisalabad, who visited the activity and appreciated the services. More than 200 patients were checked in the camp and were provided with free medicines.

Seminar on Road Safety Awareness

The University of Faisalabad in collaboration with National High Way and Motorways Police organized a seminar on Road Safety awareness on December 20, 2016. Firstly Dr Zahid Masood HoD Community Medicine gave an introductory lecture on road safety measures. Mr Javed Iqbal In charge Mobile Emergency Unit gave a detail presentation on the road side accidents. In his presentation he thoroughly discussed the safety measures that can save a human life. He stressed that one should be visible on the road and use zebra crossing while crossing the road. In his presentation he shared some of the terrible life risking facts. In the entire road side accidents 84% loss is because of human faults while other remaining factors are 16 %.According to a report approximately 12000 persons are killed in road accidents annually in Pakistan.


After that Mr Masroor Alam Kolachi, PSP SSP/Sector Commander M-2 (South) & M-3/M-4 said that our main purpose to conduct this seminar is to spread awareness among the masses about traffic rules and regulations. He said that educated women can guide their family members in a better way for the avoidance of road side emergencies. There was also a question answer session in which students asked different question regarding to road side safety. The chief Guest of the event Prof Dr Abdul Majeed Rector TUF Thanked the honourable guests for arranging such a useful seminar. He urged that nations are recognized by road disciplines and we must observe road rules. The Honorable Guest Mr Masroor Alam Kolachi, PSP and Rector TUF were also interview by the 92 News Channel HD. Seminar was concluded with National Anthem.

Fateha Khawani for APS Martyrs

A program in remembrance of Martyrs of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar was conducted in The University of Faisalabad on December 16, 2016. TUFIANS presented national songs to pay tribute to the APS martyrs which brought tears in the eyes of the audience.

Prof Dr Anwar Kamal, HoD, Physiology, UMDC in his address expressed complete solidarity with the families of the martyrs. Due to the sacrifice of innocent students of APS the nation had united to eliminate the menace of terrorism, he added. All the Heads of Schools, administration, faculty members and students attended the morning congregations to show solidarity with grieved families. Fateha Khawani was offered for the martyrs.

Annual Day of Linguistics

School of English celebrated Annual Day of Linguistics on December 7, 2016. The students of MAE semester 1 prepared a presentation on the importance of linguistics in everyday life as well as its various applications in professional field. Among other activities the audience enjoyed the documentary and a skit. Mrs Hussain, the chief guest of the event, appreciated the effort of the students in her address.

MBBS & BDS Orientation Day 3

On the third day of orientation to the new entrants of MBBS/BDS there were different sort of activities arranged by the university management. The session took a start with the presentation on social media. The students were also  briefed about communication skills.Then there was an address by the Additional Registrar . A free medical camp was arranged for the routine checkup of the students. At the end of the session there were friendly Badminton and Table Tennis matches between the students.

Mushaira Eid Milad-Un-Nabi

School of Arabic and Islamic Studies and Religious Society of The University of Faisalabad, Engineering Campus organized a Mushaira to commemorate Eid Milad-Un-Nabi. Leading poets from Lahore, Jhang and Faisalabad participated in the Mushaira and presented their Kalam which was very much applauded by the audience.

Mr. Muneeb Mustafa conducted the Mushaira and Mr. Hamid Nawaz Sheikh, Controller of Examinations presided over the function.
