The third session of CTL is being held by the Department of Medical Education (DME) from November 17th-19th, 2016 in The University of Faisalabad. Participants from a wide range of disciplines and faculties participated in the highly interactive and intellectually stimulating session facilitated by Prof Dr Muhammad Luqman (Medical Educationist and Director DME Yusra Medical College) and Prof Dr Tanzeela Khalid (HOD Medical Education).The main focus of the sessions was assessment and evaluation of teaching .The session consisted of various group activities and talks.
Religious Society of The University of Faisalabad organized All Pakistan Qiraat and Naat competition (for females) on November 17, 2016. Students from different Universities of Pakistan participated in this competition. Mufti Muhammad Farooq Qadri, Director, Riaz ul Jannah Islamic Complex,Dr Qari Ramzan Najum,Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed Dean Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Assistant Professor Mrs Rahat Asad were the judges in the competition. School of Arabic and Islamic Sciences conducted a seminar on the holy life of Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh Ali Hajveri on November 16, 2016 in Engineering Campus TUF. Mr Hamid Nawaz Sheikh Controller Examination presided the seminar. The Guest Speaker Allama Muhammad Abduallah Sharfi (orator from Jamia Masjid Sur Taj) threw some light on the life history of Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh and especially the teachings that have been discussed in his book Kashf –al-Mahjoob.He explained that everybody who yearns for tranquility and inner-peace in this present day of lop-sided, imbalanced and over-materialistic tendencies should seek guidance from the following holy book. The seminar ended with salam-o-dua.
School of Rehabilitation Sciences organized a one day workshop on “Core Stability: A Concept & A life Style” on November 14, 2016. Resource Person Dr Muhammad Hashim (PT), from University of South Asia and Physical Trainer in National Rugby Team, in his lecture addressed the problems and injuries associated with poor pelvic stability, pre operation and post operation, and post partum. He explained how to design specific and progressive exercise programs while dealing with these conditions. Dr Muhammad Hashim (PT) and students shared their views with 92 News Channel HD. Shield of honor was awarded to Dr Muhammad Hashim and participation certificates were given to the students.
Intra University Qiraat and Naat competition was organized by The University of Faisalabad on November 11, 2016.Prof Dr Abdul Majeed Rector TUF presided over the competition. Students from different schools participated in this competition. Judges for Qiraat Competition were Prof Ghulam Haider Chishti and Mr Ramzan Barvi. Mr Farooq Ahmad and Mr M Nasir Riaz served as judges for Naat Competition.

Basic life support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital.
A training workshop on Basic Life Support was organized by School of Rehabilitation Sciences at The University of Faisalabad on November 11, 2016. Faculty members from Optometry, Pharmacy, Nutrition and dietetics, Pathology and Rehabilitation Sciences participated in this training workshop. Dr Jhanzeb Iftikhar Certified in “Basic Life Support” (American Heart Association), Master trainer for immediate cardiac response was the resource person.
The University of Faisalabad celebrated Iqbal Day on November 10, 2016. Literary Society arranged a progamme to pay homage to services of Allama Muhammad Iqbal for a separate homeland. The event was presided over by Assist Prof Mrs Rahat Asad. Students from different schools of the university presented skits, poem and documentaries related to Iqbal day. At the end of the event Guest Speaker Dr Shahida from Govt College Women University Faisalabad delivered a speech on the personality of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and said his poetry gives us the lessons of unity, peace and love.
Dramatic Society of TUF arranged an Intra University Skit on November 3, 2016. Students from different Schools of the University actively participated in the competition. The reason of this competition was to spread awareness amongst the audience about Child Labor in Pakistan. Pakistan is facing the problem of Child Labor at a huge level. It is found from a recent survey that 4 million children are working as laborers in Pakistan and 25% of the population is living below the poverty line. Students presented their plays so realistically that everyone was forced to appreciate the topic. In the end, Asst Prof Mrs Rahat Asad as the judge awarded certificates to the top 3 positions holders from School of Optometry, School of Pharmacy and School of Physical Therapy respectively. Best actress certificate was awarded to a student from School of Business Management.
