Islamic Seminar

Religious Society aligned a seminar on “Birth anniversaries of Hazrat AlMurtaza Karram-Allah-Wajhahu, Imam Jafar Sadiq (A.S), Imam Abu Hanifa (R.A) and death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (R.A) on April 21, 2016 at Saleem Campus. Students from School of Arabic and Islamic Sciences highlighted the holy life events of the great personalities of Islamic history. Manaqib were recited by Dr Samreen Rasul followed by salam and dua. Mrs Rahat Asad threw light on Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s key role in freedom movement of Pakistan and recited some of his kalaam.

School of Chemical Engineering Welcome & Farewell Party

School of Chemical Engineering TUF arranged Welcome & Farewell Party for First year and passing out students. Senior students welcomed first year students in a very jolly manner while the final year got the glorious and gracious goodbye. The guest of honor were Mr Hamid Nawaz Sheikh (Controller Examination),Dr M Jamil, Dr M khalil Ahmad, Mr Saleem Akhtar Kayani (Director P&P) and the faculty of school of chemical engineering

Islamic Seminar, Birth Anniversaries of “Syedna Imam Ali Naqi (AS) and Syedna Ali Asghar (AS)”

Religious Society, TUF organized a seminar in commemoration of Birth Anniversaries of “Syedna Imam Ali Naqi (AS) and   Syedna Ali Asghar (AS)”, Death Anniversary of Hazrat Salman Farsi (RA) and “Urs Hazrat Khawaja Moeen u Deen Chishti Ajmeeri (RA)” in Saleem Campus on April 14, 2016.

Students of MA Islamic Sciences expressed their views on the Holy lives of great  personalities of Islamic history. Manaqib were also recited by the students. The program concluded with Drood o Salam and Prayer.

Intra-University Tri-Lingual Declamation Contest

Literary Society of TUF organized Intra-University Tri-Lingual (English, Urdu and Punjabi) Declamation Contest on April 12, 2016.

The topic of English debate was “Democracy is a Farce” while topics of Urdu and Punjabi debates were ”  Wo Buton ne Dalay Hain Waswasay ke Dilon se Khof-e-Khuda Gaya”  and “  Dunya Dari Niri Khwari “ respectively.

Prof Dr Munir A Sheikh, Prof Dr Anwar Kamal, Dr Shirza Nadeem, and Ms Nida Iftikhar were the judges.

According to the decision of judges the results were as follows:

  • Abeer Ataa (Pharm D) got 1st Position in Naat Competition, Zahra Alamgeer (OD) got 1st Position in Essay Writing (Urdu) & 3rd Position in Essay Writing (English) and Sadia Rasheed (Pharm D) got 2nd Position in Qiraat competition in “Fourth Lyallpur Art & Literature Festival 2016” held at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad during last week of March, 2016
  • Nirmal Javed (DPT) got 3rd Position in Poem Reciting Competition (Kalaam by Ms Humaira Khalil, Lecturer, Islamic Studies, TUF) in “Fourth Lyallpur Art & Literature Festival 2016” held at University of Agriculture.
  • Iqra Khurshid (DPT) got 2nd Position in Declamation Contest in “Azm e Alishan Youth Summit” in commemoration of Pakistan Resolution Day 2016 at Al Hamra, Lahore.
  • Raiqa Tahir (MBBS 2nd year) got 2nd Position in English Speech Competition in First Intervarsity Literary Competition “BOL” held at UET Faisalabad Campus.
