Keeping on the tradition of the University of Faisalabad to say farewell to every faculty member, head of school, Major Muhammad Saeed, Head School of computational Sciences was given an honour on his leaving the University for Onward Journey to America.
A farewell party was arranged in his honour which was joined by Rector University Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed, Controller of Examination Hamid Nawaz Shaikh, Additional Registrar Muhammad Ashfaq, Deputy Registrar Col (Retd.) Abid Mushtaq, Head School of Chemical Dr. Muhammad Jameel, Head School of Civil Engineering Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Dean Dr. A.D Chaudhry and Dr. Shoaib Khalid Electrical Department.
School of Management Studies organized a Marketing Venture in the domain of Principles of Marketing on April 26, 2016. BBA 4th Semester, under the supervision of Subject Mentor Ms Nadia Shamim, marketed their self designed brands and executed the marketing strategies in the real world. Chief Guests Prof Dr Abdul Majeed Rector TUF and Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences inaugurated the ceremony and appreciated the efforts of the students.

Community Services Society of The University of Faisalabad organized a 2-day (25th-26th April) Free Health Camp under the aegis of Allied Health Sciences Programs of The University of Faisalabad at its affiliated Madinah Teaching Hospital. Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Dean Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences, TUF and Prof Dr A G Rehan, Principal University Medical & Dental College inaugurated the camp activities for common people of Faisalabad and surrounding areas. Teams of expert Physical Therapists, Optometrists, Dietitians, Pharmacists and students from TUF and Nursing & Paramedical staff from MTH provided free facilities of medical checkup and diagnosis to the patients with the help of latest machines and equipment. During the first day of camp more than 850 patients were treated. Camp will continue till 26th April.
A seminar was organized in the University of Faisalabad in context with World Malaria Day. The theme for this year was “End Malaria for good”. Key note address was delivered by Prof Dr Ehsan ul Haq. He informed that the Global Malaria mortality rate was reduced by 60% in 2000 – 15. 6.2 million lives were saved as a result of a scale-up of malaria interventions. Speaking on the occasion Prof Dr Zahid Masood added that In 2015, there were 214 million cases of Malaria worldwide including 438 000 deaths from Malaria and 3.2 billion population are at risk. Concluding the session Prof Abdul Haq said that community participation and IVM were the best strategies to eliminate malaria. Large number of faculty members and students participated in the seminar.
School of Electrical Engineering arranged a Recreational Trip to Neelum Valley and Murree for students of 2nd semester of BEE Power, Electronics and Computer.
Community Service Society of TUF celebrated World Earth Day on April 22, 2016 at Health Sciencs Campus. On this occasion a special documentary, skits and speeches were delivered to emphasize the importance of pollution free earth. Chief Guest Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences inaugurated the plantation ceremony. Students displayed different handmade models and projects regarding recycling.
The University of Faisalabad organized Mass Marriage for 33 couples under the auspices of Madinah Foundation on April 22, 2016. Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, The University of Faisalabad was the Chief Guest of the event. Renowned religious scholars, Mufti Muhammad Farooq Qadri, Molana Zia ul Mustafa and Qari Niaz Ahmad offered Khutba Nikah, Qaseeda Burda Sharrif and Qaseeda Ghosia. They prayed for newly wedded couples. The marriage expenditure of 33 orphan and deserving girls from Faisalabad and surrounding areas was borne by Madinah Foundation. The couples were given dowry and more than 1500 guests were served lunch. Administration and Students of the University participated enthusiastically in the arrangements of the event. Members of Women Foundation, The University of Faisalabad presented gifts to the brides. The guests appreciated the services of Madinah Foundation and The University of Faisalabad for this noble cause.
