A scientific symposium on “Management of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): An Update” was organized by the department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Madinah Teaching Hospital and UMDC Hepatitis Awareness Society in collaboration with Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases (PSSLD) in The University of Faisalabad on April 28, 2018. Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector TUF Health Sciences Campus was the Chief Guest. Prof Dr Tanzeela Khalid, Director Medical Education, UMDC welcomed the guest speakers and threw light on the objectives and importance of the event. Guest Speakers, Dr Muhammad Fiaz, Interventional Radiologist, HoD, Radiology, Al-Razi Hospital, Superior University, Lahore delivered lecture on ‘Management of HCC: Role of Interventional Radiologist’ while Dr Mohammad Saleh, Director Hepatology and Liver Transplant, Quaid-E- Azam International Hospital, Islamabad delivered comprehensive talk on ‘Hepatic Resection and Transplantation for HCC ‘. Earlier, Dr Shahid Rasool, HoD and Associate Professor of Gastroenterology, MTH in his lecture briefed about ‘Prevalence, Surveillance and Medical Management of HCC.
