As a component of the continued skill development program, an advanced laparoscopic surgery workshop was arranged at Surgery department of Madinah Teaching Hospital. Consultants and PGs from the surgery, Gynecology, and Urology department participated. The primary objectives were to provide an opportunity for PGs to learn basic laparoscopic skills while improving their hand to eye co-ordination and for consultants to learn and practice laparoscopic suturing and knotting on simulated endotrainers. Participants were also introduced to latest stapling and electrothermal devices used in laparoscopic surgery. The workshop was conducted successfully with the enthusiastic participation of faculty members.
