Introduction

The University of Faisalabad offers 4-year Bachelor Degrees & 2-year Associate Degrees in Interior Design & Graphic Design, with an extensive program of collaborative & interdisciplinary fields focusing on people-centric design, socio-cultural contexts & global trends in field while exploring issues and constraints that affect sustainable approach in design. We encourage our students towards critical discourses, providing thoughtful, human-centric and holistic solutions to complex design problems and develop individual sensibilities while establishing an effective process of inquiry, reflection & invention. The department offers 2-year Master Degree in Interior Design as well fostering ingenious & innovative avenue for graduates to pursue their higher education.

About Us

• Design and Interiors Department stands pioneer in design education not only in Faisalabad but across entire country. Our Bachelor of Interior Design program initiated in 2014, has successfully flourished producing ambitious graduates who are using their expertise to create designs that are exceptional in functionality.
• We make our students able to combine design competence with manufacturing dexterity to create products that are functional and aesthetically appealing. We equip the students with higher sensitivity and efficient skills in dealing with designs tackling the national as well as regional issues.
• Our Bachelor of Graphic Design Program initiated in 2022 & is excelling in leaps & bounds with intensive & interactive pedagogy in visual communication aligned with demands of the contemporary industry & market.
• Our department inputs a variety of specialized subject matter relevant to aspirations of national, regional, institutional and professional needs and opportunities in our degree programs curricula which aligns our students with great career opportunities in the future.
• We also offer Master degree program in Interior design further expanding our domain in integrated art & design pedagogy aptly supported and vitalized by institutional resources and expertise.

• Students are trained in the latest digital tools and technologies essential for exceling in field of design and encourage proficiency in visual & digital communication via latest software as well as instilled with strong creative skills that produce non-conventional design solutions.

Role & Scope

• The degrees offered by our department incorporates an array of tools, strategies and design thinking methodologies over the period of 8 semesters that enable students to become adaptive and experts in diverse fields of designing and visual arts.
• It encourages our students to observe global trends in design and contemporary lifestyles while providing thoughtful, human-centric and holistic solutions to complex design problems.
• It develops a concept-oriented approach in our students to explore improvisation, relational compositions.
• It explores historical and cultural allusions, context and hence develop individual sensibilities while establishing an effective process of inquiry, reflection & invention.
