Mission

To achieve excellence in skincare by educating skin care experts having relevant knowledge, skills and professional attitudes to take care of skin in all age groups by providing opportunities for innovative teaching, hands on practice, research and intellectual development.

Program Objectives

By the end of the Doctor of Dermatological sciences program, graduating health care professionals will be able to

  • Work as team members in pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry in production, quality assurance, marketing and research of skin care products
  • Guide clients regarding skin care and perform noninvasive cosmetics procedures independently
  • Work with Dermatologists as part of a skin care team, in primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare settings, assisting in management of Dermatologic diseases and invasive procedures
  • Pursuit an academic career in allied health sciences undergraduate programs
  • Contribute in promoting a research culture by conducting and publishing good quality research

Program Outcome

Graduates of the Bachelors of Dermatological Sciences will

  • Demonstrate application of sound knowledge of basic and clinical sciences related to the cutaneous system in diagnosing and managing common skin diseases
  • Apply theoretical concepts of cosmetic sciences in production, quality assurance and marketing of skin care products
  • Demonstrate history taking, physical examination and clinical reasoning skills in healthcare settings
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills needed for verbal, written and electronic communication
  • Work effectively as members and leaders of healthcare teams
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills in developing an ethical and empathic relationship with patients, colleagues and clients
  • Undertake evidence based practices in patient care decisions
  • Engage in continuing professional development as reflective, self-directed lifelong learners
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures independently and under supervision of Dermatologists
  • Apply concepts of health economics and finance management in designing cost effective solutions for patients with skin problems

About Us

We are a unique school, pioneering the field of Dermatological Sciences in Pakistan. Our first program, a five years degree program in Dermatological sciences, was launched in Fall 2017, with the aim to bridge the gap in skin care with qualified healthcare professionals who will look after the skincare in all ages.

Career Prospects

By the end of this five years program, graduates will be able to perform their role as

  • Cosmetic scientist: Consultants and team leaders in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry regarding production, quality assurance, marketing and research of skin care products.
  • Cosmetologist: Guide clients regarding skin care and perform noninvasive cosmetic procedures independently
  • Primary healthcare practitioners: Deliver dermatologic care to patients in primary care settings in collaboration with physicians
  • Physician associate: Work with Dermatologists as part of a skin care team, in patient management and invasive procedures
  • Academician: Pursuit an academic career in allied health sciences undergraduate programs

Hostels


Amna Hall, Khadija Hall, Ayesha Hall, Fatima Hall, Zainab Hall, Ruqaiya Hall, and TUFIANS are hostels having furnished rooms to accommodate more than 1200 students. These halls provide a number of facilities including TV lounges, common rooms, study rooms, Wi-Fi, prayer rooms and kitchens. All students residing in the hostel are expected to conform to rules and regulations framed from time to time.


Cafeteria


Food catering service having a wide range of quality snacks and meals at modest prices is available throughout the day.


Bank


Branches of Habib Metropolitan Bank are opened for facilitating the students and employees of the university in making financial transactions. ATM machines are also installed in the University.


Transport


The university has out-sourced transport to facilitate students in their pick and drop from and to the University.
