TUFIANS Hosts safety lectures on “Cyber Crimes”

School of Computational Sciences, The University of Faisalabad organised a seminar on “Cyber Security” at its three campuses including Engineering Wing, Health Sciences and Alam Tower Campus Lahore. As per details, Syed Arshad Ali Rizvi, Inspector (Investigation), FIA Cybercrime Faisalabad and Mr Zain Ali Qureshi, Advocate High Court, Expert in Cyber Crime Laws were the guest speakers at Health Sciences campus. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Zain Qureshi said the common perception that cybercrimes are low-level crimes must be removed since, in reality, they are as dangerous as other major crimes.

 
 
 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Zain Qureshi said the common perception that cybercrimes are low-level crimes must be removed since, in reality, they are as dangerous as other major crimes. He said that online fraud, theft and blackmailing are all part of cybercrimes. It’s a dangerous thing for people’s personal life and privacy in modern time, he said. Users must secure their passwords on internet and electronic devices, and must be highly careful in order to save themselves from cybercrimes, he added. He also informed the audience to secure their online bank accounts and to make their accounts more secure on Google. Moreover, the guest speakers explained about the preventive measures to avoid these crimes and how to register a Cyber Crime complaint in NR3C, FIA. Mian Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman Board of Governors graced the occasion as the chief guest while Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector Health Sciences, senior administration, faculty and students of TUF were also present at the occasion.

Moreover, the guest speakers explained about the preventive measures to avoid these crimes and how to register a Cyber Crime complaint in NR3C, FIA. Mian Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman Board of Governors graced the occasion as the chief guest while Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Pro Rector Health Sciences, senior administration, faculty and students of TUF were also present at the occasion. Mian Muhammad Haider Amin in his concluding remarks emphasized the importance of such events for raisings awareness about emerging cyber crimes in Pakistan. Awareness sessions were also conducted in Engineering wing and Alam Tower sub campus, Lahore as well.
