BS Speech and Language Pathology


• To provide in–depth knowledge of communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan

• To develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• To enhance written and oral communication skills, and information literacy.

• To provide the theoretical and applied expertise to select, use, and analyze the methodology available to evaluate and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.

• To prepare students for a career in the profession of speech-language pathology

• To provide the concepts and model the behaviors indicative of ethical practice within the profession of speech-language pathology.

Role and Scope

This program is designed to meet all requirements for breadth and depth of content in normal and disordered human communication and swallowing across the life span.

• Can work as speech technologist, speech pathologist technologist, speech language assistant, rehab technologist, human language technologist in health care units, hospitals, residential health care facilities, nonresidential health care facilities, private practice, academic institutions and corporate speech-language pathology.

• As an academician to teaching to under & post graduates.

• Can work as policy maker in local, state, and federal government agencies and public health departments.
