MS Physical Therapy

Objective

The program is designed to achieve the following objectives on completion of the degree:

1. To provide specialized physical therapy care with evidence based practices

2. To serve as responsible members in the professional community and are willing and able to assume leadership roles in the communities they serve.

3. To identify researchable problems, advocate and participate in research, and incorporate research findings into clinical practice

Role and Scope

• Orthopedic manual therapist is expert in giving treatment can include hands-on work that includes mobilization of the nerves, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, and mobilization of spinal segments and joints for for acute and chronic pain, Helpful in relaxing muscles and breaking up scar tissue, increasing joint movement beyond restricted range of motion, reducing painful muscle spasms.

• They can work in rehab programs more effectively in OPD’s and Neuro and orthopedic IPD, stroke rehab clinic, pain management’s clinics, post surgically, etc
