BS Cyber Intelligence and Security

Objective

The tactical objectives of BS CIS degree program are as follow:

• An ability to analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.

• An ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in cyber intelligence and security.

• An ability to communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.

• An ability to recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.

• An ability to function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.

• An ability to apply security principles and practices to maintain operations in the presence of risks and threats.

Role and Scope

The Bachelor of Science in Cyber Intelligence and Security program prepares graduates to deal with threats from those who would abuse our world’s growing dependency on technology. In reality-based scenarios, students develop the knowledge in computer science and cybersecurity needed to defend the people, data, software, and networks that keep the world safe and productive. Graduates are prepared for professional roles in the rapid growing field of cyber security.
