This program is designed to obtain following objectives:
• To develop Communication skills to communicate test results, diagnoses, and propose treatments
• To be empathetic and supportive of patients and their families
• To develop Critical-thinking skills and concentrate when testing a patient’s hearing and be able to analyze each patient’s situation, in order to offer the best treatment
• To develop Problem-solving skills and figure out the causes of problems with hearing and balance and determine the appropriate treatment or treatments to address them
Audiologists provide professional and personalized services to minimize the negative impact of these disorders, leading to improved outcomes and quality of life.
Audiologists provide services and work in many different types of facilities, including:
• Private Practice / Self Employment
• Hospital based practices (Private / Public Sector)
• Associates to Physicians / ENT Surgeons
• Rehabilitation centers
• Community clinics
• Colleges and universities to prepare future professionals
• Research laboratories (engage in research to enhance knowledge about normal hearing and treatment of hearing disorders, and to design hearing instruments and testing equipment)
