CONFERENCE INTRODUCTION

Recently there has been a lot of buzz around the term “myopia control” in the vision sciences field. The goal of myopia control is to slow down or even prevent the progression of nearsightedness (i.e. myopia). Increasing prevalence of Myopia is making a low, continuous humming or murmuring sound that Myopia is a 21st century public health Issue. Prevalence of myopia worldwide has increased from 25% in 1972 to 42% in 2002 to 64% in 2016

CONFERENCE CONVENOR MESSAGE

The mission of the conference is to cover and present new findings from a wide range of research areas including experimental myopia, environmental factors, genetic analysis, ophthalmological optics and pathologic myopia. We also hope to encourage researchers from around the world to deepen mutual relationships and to broadcast a new global message with respect to the future of myopia research. I'm privileged to invite all eye professionals to 2nd International Conference on Myopia Pakistan on March 20-21, 2020; Buzzing Myopia: ‘Curative & Preventive Measures’ to learn a lot about managing myopic progression.
