Principles of Management

Overall aims of course/Mission statemen

The objective of this course is to expose the student with the theories of management, organizational theory, and the practice of management in contemporary organizations from a conceptual, analytical, and pragmatic perspective. The course will also allow you to develop your own framework for analyzing and understanding management as well as exploring and developing your own personal philosophy of management. Students will also be required to identify and evaluate ethical consequences of managerial decisions.

Course Outline:

General history of management thoughts. Fundamental and principle of management, functions of management like planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
